Formex Scholarship for Design Students

Scholarship for Students at Beckmans

Every year, Formex awards a scholarship to a recent graduate of the Beckmans School of Design. The purpose is to raise the profile of emerging designers within the design and interior design industry by giving them the opportunity, through the trade show, to connect with buyers and the media. The scholarship gives the winner the opportunity to exhibit in their own booth at Formex free of charge in the coming years.

Formex Scholarship Recipients 2026

In June 2026, Formex awarded the scholarship to two graduating students from Beckmans School of Design for their graduation projects. The 2026 winners are Filippa Holm and Sara Mattsoms.

Filippa Holm
Filippa’s work is titled *Here’s Another Way to Do It*, and the jury’s statement reads: “Sometimes, the things you can’t buy are the most appealing.” This year’s Formex Scholarship is awarded to a project that literally digs right where it stands and aims to inspire others rather than sell something.

Sara Mattsoms
Sara Mattsom’s work is called Blomstra and the jury’s justification is: In a city that will accommodate more and more people, space is also needed for the plants that are a prerequisite for our existence. This year’s Formex Scholarship is awarded to a project that improves the local environment, not only for us humans but also plants, animals and insects.
